Privacy Policy

How Kentucky Church of God of Prophecy and Keystone Software handle information connected to this website.

“He leads me beside the still waters.”
Psalm 23:2, NKJV

Last updated: October 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, protected, and shared through the website of the Kentucky Church of God of Prophecy. Throughout this policy, the Kentucky Church of God of Prophecy is referred to as the Church, we, or us. The Church is the church-facing owner and decision-maker for its ministry information, directory information, approved content, logos, trademarks, communications, and privacy choices.

This website is designed, developed, and technically maintained by Keystone Software by Kingswell Strategic Ventures, LLC. Keystone Software acts as the Church’s technology and design partner. Keystone Software does not replace the Church, speak for the Church, or make ministry decisions on the Church’s behalf. The Church remains responsible for deciding why information is collected and how it is used for Church purposes.

1. Information covered by this policy

This policy applies to information collected through the Church’s website, contact forms, event registrations, email signup features, church directory tools, online giving links, embedded content, and other digital services that link to this policy. It also applies to information that the Church or its approved service providers receive when a person asks for help with the website or requests connection with a local congregation.

2. Information you choose to provide

You may choose to provide your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, church or community, ministry interests, event information, prayer or contact message, and any other information you decide to include. If you submit information about another person, you should have permission to share it with the Church.

The Church may receive information when you contact the Church, ask for a local congregation, request a directory correction, register for an event, request prayer, subscribe to approved communications, volunteer, ask a ministry question, or follow a giving link. Please do not submit sensitive information that the Church has not requested, including passwords, full payment-card numbers, government identification numbers, or medical records.

3. Information collected automatically

When you visit the website, certain technical information may be collected automatically by the website and approved service providers. This may include your approximate location derived from an IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, referring page, date and time of access, general interaction data, and security or diagnostic logs. This information helps the Church keep the website secure, understand which pages are useful, improve accessibility and performance, and maintain reliable Church communications.

4. How the Church uses information

The Church may use information to respond to questions, connect people with a local Church congregation or ministry, provide requested event or program information, maintain accurate Church directory information, send approved ministry communications, process or direct online giving, protect the website and its users, prevent misuse, understand website performance, honor privacy choices, comply with legal obligations, and improve the Church’s digital services.

Keystone Software uses information only as needed to provide the website design, development, security, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical services requested by the Church, or as required by law. Keystone Software does not sell the Church’s contact lists.

5. Church communications and email signup

The Church may offer email signup for announcements, ministry updates, event reminders, prayer opportunities, or other Church communications. The Church intends to send recurring communications only to people who have provided appropriate consent or otherwise requested the communication. Each recurring marketing or ministry email should provide a practical way to unsubscribe or update preferences.

Email automation or newsletter services will be activated only after the Church selects and approves the provider. Before that connection is made, an email signup should be treated as a request for follow-up rather than a promise that automated messages will begin immediately.

6. Church directory information

A future or active Church directory may display public congregation information such as a church name, city, meeting location, service schedule, public contact method, or approved ministry description. The Church decides what directory information is approved for publication. If you believe a directory entry is inaccurate or should be updated, contact the Church using the information below.

7. Giving and payment information

Online giving may be provided through a secure donation platform selected and approved by the Church. The website should link donors to that provider or display the provider’s secure payment experience. The Church and Keystone Software should not ask people to send full payment-card numbers by email or through an ordinary contact form. Payment details are handled by the approved giving provider under that provider’s own privacy, security, and processing terms.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

The website may use necessary cookies to support security, navigation, consent preferences, session behavior, and core site functions. Optional cookies may be used for measurement, embedded content, or preferences only when the related feature has been approved by the Church and enabled according to the visitor’s choices. See the Cookie Policy for more detail about cookie categories and choices.

9. Service providers and third parties

The Church may use approved service providers for website hosting, security, forms, analytics, email delivery, event registration, maps, video, online giving, or other digital services. These providers may process information on the Church’s behalf to deliver their services. They may also publish their own privacy notices. The Church reviews providers as part of its approval process and aims to activate only the services needed for the Church’s ministry and website operations.

The website may link to third-party websites, including the Church of God of Prophecy corporate website, local Church resources, giving platforms, social networks, or event tools. Once you leave the Church’s website, the third party’s policies and practices apply.

10. When information may be shared

The Church may share information with a local congregation, ministry leader, event team, or approved service provider when that sharing is reasonably necessary to respond to your request or provide a Church service. Information may also be disclosed when required to comply with law, protect the rights and safety of the Church or others, investigate misuse, enforce applicable terms, or support a lawful transfer of Church operations.

The Church does not sell personal information or rent its contact lists to third parties for their own unrelated advertising.

11. Retention and deletion

The Church keeps information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, for Church recordkeeping, to resolve questions, to protect the website, to meet legal or accounting requirements, or to establish and defend rights. Retention periods may vary by the type of information and the service involved. You may ask the Church whether information about you can be corrected or deleted, subject to legal, security, recordkeeping, or operational limits.

12. Security

The Church and Keystone Software use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the website and the information handled through it. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please contact the Church promptly if you believe you have found a security issue or have received a suspicious message that appears to use the Church’s name.

13. Children and families

The Church welcomes families and offers ministries for children and youth. The website is not intended to ask children to submit personal information without appropriate adult involvement. Parents or guardians who believe a child has submitted information should contact the Church so the Church can review the request and take appropriate action.

14. Your privacy choices

You may ask the Church to provide more information about how a submission was used, correct inaccurate information, update a communication preference, unsubscribe from recurring email, or review a request for deletion. You may also manage optional cookie choices through the consent controls or your browser settings. The Church may need to verify a request before acting on it and may retain information necessary to document the request or meet a legal obligation.

15. Changes to this policy

The Church may update this policy when the website, Church services, approved providers, or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with a new last-updated date. Keystone Software may assist the Church with publishing updates, but the Church approves the substance of this policy.

16. Contact the Church

For Church questions, privacy requests, directory corrections, or communication preferences, contact the Kentucky Church of God of Prophecy at kycogop@comcast.net or 270-900-1956.

For website development or technical questions, contact Keystone Software by Kingswell Strategic Ventures, LLC. When contacting Keystone Software about a privacy matter, please include enough detail to identify the request without sending passwords, payment-card numbers, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
